Unity Hospital President Rickie Ressler will present Health Care in our Community: It’s Everyone’s Business. Taking a look at recent economic trends in health care, Rickie will discuss why health care costs are rising for businesses, employees and providers, and what each can do to decrease costs. The presentation will also demonstrate how Unity Hospital serves as a community partner to support the wellness of employees.

Rickie Ressler is President of Unity Hospital, part of Allina Hospitals & Clinics. Rickie’s background includes various clinical and executive positions across the Twin Cities area. A graduate of the University of Minnesota, Rickie has held Nurse Executive and Vice President positions in both metropolitan and rural hospitals.

Unity is home to 1600 employees and 850 physicians, which treated over 107,000 patients in 2007 alone. Unity is dedicated to growing and improving its services to the community with a wide range of health education and support groups that help people quit smoking, deal with illness or the loss of a loved one. Specialty services like a bariatric center, cardiac center, emergency department and cancer center bring excellence in health care to the Twin Cities North area and beyond.
