Sponsored by our premier sponsor Financial One Credit Union and now in it's 4th year, Hops for Hunger 4.0 is SACA Food Shelf's fundraiser celebrating great local craft beers.  Featuring beer by 10K Brewing, 56 Brewing, 612 Brew, Able Seedhouse and Brewing, American Sky Brewing, Bad Weather Brewing, Barley John's Brew Pub, BauHaus Brew Labs, Bent Brewstillery, Boom Island Brewing, Fair State Brewing Coooperative, Inbound Brewing, Indeed Brewing, Insight Brewing, NorthGate Brewing, North Loops Brewco, Sociable Cider Werks and Urban Growler .

It will again take place at the beautiful Solar Arts Building, 711 15th Ave NE, Minneapolis, on the 3rd floor, just upstairs from Indeed Brewing.

Food by Chowgirls Killer Catering, music by Analog Drifters and Blue Groove plus a great silent auction!

Southern Anoka Community Assistance (SACA) is a 501 c 3 non-profit food shelf.  SACA has been serving the communities of Columbia Heights, Hilltop, Fridley and Spring Lake Park for 39 years.  Using the Client Choice food shelf model, we serve 500 - 625+ in crisis families (1450 to over 1650 people), giving out 39,500 - 45,000 plus pounds of food monthly.  Last year SACA gave out 565,857 pounds of food!  We work closely with schools, police and fire departments to bring food and hygene products to in need students.  SACA also has a low barrier homeless youth program (ages 21 and under) and in partnership with the 5 Anoka County food shelfs, a senior delivery service (Anoka CAN). We also give out Christmas toys and a complete holiday meal for either Thanksgiving or Christmas. 

There is also a Thrift Shop where clothing, and small household items are sold at garage sale prices.  SACA's Thrift Shop is open to the public. 

We have other fundraisers as well.  SACA's Fire and Ice Plunge will be held at Silver Lake Swimming Beach January 28th, 2017 and Empty Bowls, a meal with soup and bread symbolizing a meal for those who do not have much to eat.  Empty Bowls will be April 14th from 4 - 7PM ant Murzyn Hall in Columbia Heights.

Each dollar raised will enable us to purchase 8.5 pounds of food, so your $40 ticket will buy 340 pounds of food!
