COMMISSIONER SHAWNTERA HARDY
DEPARTMENT OF EMPLOYMENT AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT 

 

As Commissioner of the state's principal economic development agency, she is focused on:  

creating jobs, promoting business recruitment, expansion, and retention, advancing state workforce training and development, and supporting international trade and community development.

Prior to serving as Commissioner of DEED, she served as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Governor Mark Dayton and Lt. Governor Tina Smith.

Via the chamber's role of "Business Advocacy" the chamber hosts these gatherings to bring public officials and the business community together to explore collaboration, to learn from each other, and to air issues of concern which impact Minnesota's business climate.

Green Mill Restaurant which will be catering our buffet breakfast. 
Date/Time Information The chamber's "Legislative Breakfast Series" in held monthly from September through June each year. 

The chamber hosts these events on the third Friday of these months unless there is a national holiday which forces us to choose another date. 

These events are not held in July and August since Minnesotans are enjoying our great outdoors and/or the Minnesota State Fair!
