Born in a small town, April had dreams of moving to the city and working her way up a Fortune 500 company. After achieving what she thought to be her dream, she felt unsatisfied. She decided to leave finance, Six Sigma and process improvement consulting to pursue a passion she had practiced for years among her friends : matchmaking. Her work ethic mixed with her skills of intuition and understanding people helped blossom her company. She understood the ins and outs of love. Not just the butterflies and hearts type of love ~ the real, long-lasting, take home to Mama, marriage material type of love. After all, she's married to a divorce attorney, which gives her a unique insight to know what's going to last. April founded her company in 2010 with no financial backing. Through extensive networking, hiring the right employees, and being innovative in regards to how she set her business apart from the competitors, her dream of help thousands of people find love came true. Now in its sixth year, LUMA Luxury Matchmaking has increased both its revenue and size, reaching over 25 cities across 17 states. April continues to find ways to innovate and bring her company to the next level. When it involves love, the sky's the limit. She also serves as an advisor to multiple start-ups within the med-tech industry and as a board member to two non-profit organizations. Wise Ink is an independent publisher that arms authors with totally custom books, marketing plans, and distribution services as well as educational tools to help authors publish books that matter. Amy has a master's degree in English. In her spare time, she enjoys singing, reading, and spending time with her family. Panelist: Sarah Nichols, founder and president of RSVTea, Inc. ? RSVTea is a beverage company brewing fizzy, energy teas. Sarah created RSVTea because she wanted a healthier option than energy drinks and something better than boring, flat iced tea. After incubating company concepts in the Mac Startups 2016 Program, RSVTea was one of six businesses selected for the competitive gBETA Accelerator Program. This is Sarah's first startup venture, and she's on a mission to "revive the power of celebration" with fizzy vibes. RSVTea, everyone's invited! Wishes & More® enhances the life of a child fighting a terminal or life-threatening condition by providing extraordinary experiences including wishes, scholarships, memorials and more. OUR COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT IS FEATURING WISHES & MORE. Wishes & More granted their first wish in March of 2015. Since then, over 850 wishes, scholarships and memorials have been granted to children in Minnesota and it's surrounding states. The organization established to complete the spirit of wish granting and support for children and families by filling critical gaps in service provision in our community. Wishes & More not only grants heart felt wishes to children with terminal and life threatening conditions, they also provide them with a $1,000 scholarship of Hope. They have a memorial program that provides monetary gifts to the parents of the child who does not survive to experience the joy of a wish. The goal is to honor the first choice wish of every eligible family that applies. We've joined forces with Wishes & More this month to help raise awareness of the organization so that one day every child facing these circumstances is able to achieve a life's dream. Make your personal and professional development a priority. We bring quality women together for great networking that always supports a good cause. Our community attracts a diverse group of women of all ages and backgrounds. We have fun getting to know each other and finding ways to support and encourage one another. Apr 21    Integrated marketing: Your ticket to becoming a business celebrity!
Integrated marketing: Your ticket to becoming a business celebrity! presented by Jason Kocina and Heather Champine If you’ve ever wondered how to get more media coverage for your business, and how to squeeze the most from every opportunity? To get a reporter’s attention, should you send a press release or a Tweet? And once a story runs in the media, how can you multiply its impact? Is your website ready for new sales leads? What other digital marketing should you be doing? How important are infographics and video? Do you even know how to get started? Sales and marketing professionals often juggle a lot of responsibilities. Many find it difficult to find the time to even stay current on PR and digital marketing strategies, let alone to implement them.
